I didn’t choose Glasgow. I fell in love with someone that happens to live there while travelling through Scotland. I only did what you do in those situations: I went back home, packed my life in a single giant suitcase and dragged those twenty three kilos of stuff across the sea, to be with the person my heart had chosen.

After wandering for a while, lost in a new place and unable to feel at home, I decided to photograph Glasgow to make it mine, hoping that immortalising its streets will suddenly make them feel familiar.

Beauty against uprooting.
