We drive between Seamill and Largs all the time. I swim in Seamill and the best chippy is in Larg. One is logically the reward for doing the other. Fairlie is somewhere in between, a right turn on that fast road, and we never stopped before.
I have been longing for more outdoor time lately. The north of Scotland is so majestic that it is easy to forget that there are a lot of things to do close to home, that you do not need to take time off or to drive for hours. A lot can be discovered only a few miles away.
We did this walk of the Fairlie Glen on a warm September day and found little friends along the way. “Big hands holding tiny things.”
